January 12, 2009

Steve had his 5th chemo treatment today and also had his first lumbar puncture, which went well. He is started feeling the effects of treatment and is exhausted. He will have the second lumbar puncture (this is chemo injected into the base of the spine and circulates through the brain) on Friday. He is to be on his back for 4 to 5 hours after this treatment. He has been holding up pretty well and feels fine so far, just tired.

  2. Hey Steve,
Great to hear you are going home! Have been praying for you (yes...I do pray!). I was going to come see at St. Chas., but have had sniffles & cough so I'll wait and finally see you & Mindi's home. Barry was up there for 5 days in early November himself. Am glad to have heard from Sue & Beth and you know we wish you the best. Love you & your beautiful family.
    Talk to you soon,
Chris C. (I know it has been a long time!)

  5. Hey Steve,

It is great to hear that you are going home today. You finally get to eat something besides hospital food and get to sleep in your own bed. I have to say those were the things that I enjoyed the most about going home. Take care and we will talk to you later.
