Steve went back into the hospital on Monday 2/2 for his next round of treatments and will be there until Friday. He is holding up pretty well, considering. He will meet with a doctor from OHSU on Friday so that doctor can review his case. Steve had another biopsy last Wednesday - the results showed no cancer cells in his bone marrow. This means that he is responding well to the initial treatments. This is very good news.
Chemo makes him tired and sick and he has lost some weight. We try to keep our visits short and call before to make sure he is up for company.

Steve,
ReplyDeleteI'm sure Mindi could arrange you to get some hospital gowns for at home. No need to keep going back to the hospital just for the fun of running around with your buns in the breeze! In all seriousness, I know you're not quite up for running and there's nothing fun about this, but keep smiling- it's definitely a strength of yours. Love to you all.

Boy, you sure went bald faster than I did, but I like my way better. Actually, you look better bald than I thought you would! Enough of the sarcastic stuff. Sorry it has taken so long to write, but as you know we have our issues too. I have my good days and bad days just like everyone else. Sometimes the legs just don't want to work. But the Lord continues to watch over us and for that we are grateful
ReplyDeletePlease know, Steve, that all along you guys have constantly been in our thoughts and prayers. You are on our church's prayer list and we know it helps. You have been so wonderful through all of this and we are so proud of you. Just keep up the good work and know we are there with you. Love you bunchs! Peggy and Frank
Hey Steve, I finally found my way to this thing. Sounds like the hair cut is a big hit. Haven't heard from you lately, left a couple of messages. Hope all is well. I'd like to come and see you sometime next week. I'll give you a call. So I know where to find you. Take care. Love. Tim
ReplyDeleteHey Bro, it's so good to see you with a guitar. I saw Rebecca ( for accupuncture ) today. She said she would be willing to do a house call if needed also. Hope you will consider it. Take care. Love. Tim
